So, in order to draw the attention of the auto market and customers Hyosung debuted the Aquila 250 limited edition, where only 100 units are available to the customers. The Aquila 250 is the bike that carries acquired features and styling cues to refresh the customers. The Hyosung Aquila 250 comes to India as a (CKD) Completely Knocked Down unit and gets assembled at the Pune manufacturing unit. The Aquila 250 is the perfect cruising model that appears to be macho and plusher on the road.

The Aquila 250 gets the sprinting power from a 4-stroke, DOHC 8 valve 75 degrees V-twin 249cc, the engine that produces peak power & torque figures to give justification to the bike. The 26.21 bhp of power @ 9500 rpm along with a peak torque of 21.37 Nm @ 7000 rpm is the figures churned by the commendable engine unit.
The transmission duties are carried by a 5-speed gearbox, that gives easy shift pattern by delivering grunt power to the rear wheel. Hence the tremendous churned output, pleasure the drives of the biker & pillion, where the easy and speedy drives are possible without flaws. Though the bike is configured with the potent engine, it claims decent mileage to delight the rider.
DESIGN & STYLING
The Aquila 250 is designed nicely to give huge stance to the rider. The bike gets a chrome touch to give plusher presence to the bike on the terrain. The round headlamp setup at the front appears to be elegant and also the suspension forks grab the attention of the mankind. The design and styling cues are okay, but the rider for the tall riders it may not be a right choice to ride with.
When we compare Aquila 250 with the top end models, it appears to be miniature, but don’t underrate because it carries the all the powerful featured and design elements to give cruiser design. The bike measures 2282 mm in length, 875 mm in width and 1096 mm in height with a 1515 mm wheelbase. While the 155 mm of ground clearance enable decent driving capabilities to the biker. The 179 kg’s of kerb weight is also an advantage to the bike, where the rider can handle the bike with a great easement.
The rearview mirrors housed on the handlebar gives clear sight of objects that appear to be closed at the back of the bike. The robust fuel tank comes with a teardrop shape gives huge stance to the bike. The U-shaped tail lamp with turn blinkers and the number plate gives sumptuous feeling when looking from the rear.
Coming to the instrument console of the bike, it gets a two pod unit that displays info regarding speedometer (analog), a tachometer and LCD odometer. While the digital gear indicator and the caution lights will be a helpful feature to the rider.
This cruiser model is not only carrying efficient engine and premium design but also get employed with hassle-free suspension unit, effective braking system and enchanting features to offer perfect cruising capabilities with incomparable dynamics. As of the suspension, it is up to the mark no doubt, but it is not suitable to bear the Indian road conditions, because of uneven & disturbed roads, potholes.
For this, the telescopic spoke suspension at the front and hydraulic double shock absorber at the rear works well to ensure better comfort. The highway rides are decent with the prominent comfort that was offered to the rider & pillion. The only bad is when the bike is revving at 80-100 km/h, the biker feels the awkward vibrations, thus the cruising speed is not as expected.
In order to stop the cruiser, the bike maker employed a 275 mm single disc semi-floating, dual piston caliper at the front and the drum brake at the rear. Hence the braking unit at both the ends works duly to ensure secure and safe drives, but the rider will feel the absence of disc brake at the rear.
The 110/90 – 16 59S tubeless tyre at the front and a 150/80 – 70S tubeless tyre at the rear wrapped to alloy wheels gives efficient grip over the surface. So, the rider will get relief from the manageable tyres.
IS IT BEST?
Finally, Aquila 250 is the decent cruiser model that gives a worthy stance to the rider and also a good alternative for the top class cruisers that had the capability to contend with. The bike can be your by sparing INR 2.84 lakhs(ex-showroom, Delhi). To serve the customers, the manufacturer offered two years of warranty for the bike. Hence it is the best in the class cruiser but the price is higher for the country fellows.
