Mesmerizing model is back with a bang into the auto segment, that is none other than Apache RTR 160. This model is now available in a matte red color with a 10,000 hike over the existing models. The TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with revampings to make it new. This revised model gets sharp and edgy design lines, LED daytime running lights (DRL’s), faux carbon fibre body panels and completely revamped semi-digital instrument cluster. The new graphical styling elements is a stand out from existing segment lineup that also gives unique identity as well.
DESIGN & STYLING
TVS Apache RTR 160 design & styling is the main asset that makes it more lavish in the tug-of-war segment. The latest add-on matte black color and existing black, grey, red and yellow colors give the extravaganza to the bike.
The front gets a chock-shaped LED pilot lamps unit which is the best alternative for AHO.
It gets a robust tank design along with side panels that minimize the overheat from the engine by almost 10 degrees.
The rear gets a race signature with 3-color options below the split rear grab bar.
The rear boasts a sharp and arrogant tail with full LED tail lamp unit, which is the stylish quotient to the overall bike.
The black alloy wheels with white stripes and gold finish to suspension setup is the most sporty and charming element that makes the moto flamboyant.
The decent digital instrument cluster fitment facilitates the useful information to the rider and also an analog tachometer, speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, clock and trip meter. The carbon fiber finishes around the display unit is the eye-catchy element on the bike.
PERFORMANCE
All the power to the Apache RTR 160 is drawn from the single cylinder 4-stroke air cooled 159.7cc carburetor engine that churns maximum power of 15.21 PS @ 8,500 rpm and torque of 13.1 Nm @ 4,000 rpm mated to a 5-speed multiple gearbox. This powerful mill satisfies its thurst and drives up to 60 Km/l. This commuter claims a top speed of 118 km/h.
Disappointingly, TVS doesn’t consider the fuel-injection engine and thus should wait for the best to happen.
Hence, engine grunts good performance that satisfies your wish to cruise like anything, so don,t underestimate.
RIDING DYNAMICS
The Apache RTR 160 is super comfier with ‘synchronous stiff chassis’, where rider and companion should be very thankful for it.
The 105mm telescopic fork at the front and gas-filled monotubes at the rear it and 5-step adjustable shock absorbers make your day without any discomfort.
The perfectly cushioned seat gives the comfy feather touch to the persons on the bike.
In high-speed, the Apache RTR 160 gets stopped with the application of 270 mm petal disc brake at the front and combination of 200mm petal disc and 130mm drum brakes at the rear. This skidding of the bike is managed by the grippy tubeless tyres and thus control & handling is still under control.

The pricing of the Apache RTR 160 is affordable & reasonable, at the same time a tough time to contend with segment rivals like Pulsar 150 & Suzuki Gixxer.
